Golden Harvest

6880 12 Mile Rd. west of Van Dyke, Warren, MI, 48092
(586) 751-5288

Molly Abraham, Detroit News Restaurant Critic: Conventional wisdom says you must go to Windsor for authentic Chinese food, but that's been outdated for some time. Golden Harvest, now located in the former Arriva Italia quarters, draws a big Asian crowd for its dim sum at lunch, served from the traditional metal carts, and its menu of authentic dishes with an emphasis on seafood. While many of the dishes are probably a little too authentic for a middle American crowd, there are also the Chinese-American standards from shrimp with lobster sauce to egg foo young. Those interested in delving more deeply into the cuisine might be tempted to order stir-fried lotus roots with sliced pork, salted fish and chicken with bean curd in hot pot, braised group or spicy salted eel from a long list. A liquor license has allowed the big cocktail lounge to open.

 June 4, 2009 - Detroit News - Molly Abraham

Chinese food fanciers can be divided into two camps: those who are perfectly happy with almond chicken and sweet-and-sour pork (and there's nothing wrong with that), and those looking for something a bit more challenging.

I've never seen fit to grace the doors for this establishment, although I understand it's been here for over 5yrs. Why does this site have so many cookies to allow before contributing an editorial review?
