Molly Abraham: Montree and Somnuk (Sandy) Arpachinda have been serving Thai fare in the metro area since 1983, long before every strip mall had a Thai spot. They are very good at what they do, and have steadily expanded. Their newest outpost is on Gratiot Avenue near 10 Mile Road in Roseville.\n Sandy Arpachinda is the author of a cookbook "Thai: Pure and Simple." The menu includes a la carte appetizers and soups, numerous stir-fries and curries, and vegetarian dishes as well. About half are spicy. The best Thai meals include both spicy and bland dishes. Sauces are light, and range from chili to red and green curry, sweet-and-sour, mushroom and coconut.

Last time I went this restaurant I ordered Pad Thai (nodle). The pad thai was not exactly pad thai. It was drenched in wet soup. Most terrible pad thai I ever had, but other dish, Gang Gai (coconat milk rice dish) I ate onece before was okay.
