The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (NKFM) wants you to help in the fight against kidney disease by attending the 12th annual Detroit Zoo Kidney Walk in Royal Oak.
The NKFM welcomes people of all ages to join in the fun by walking individually or by forming a team with friends and family. The festivities begin with registration at 8am and the Kidney Walk begins at 9am.
The day will include food and refreshments, live music, children activities and much more. All walkers are eligible for official prizes depending on the amount of money they raise and every person who raises $50 will receive an official walk t-shirt. Walkers can visit the Meijer Family Fun Tent for face painting, games, a DJ, music, dance contests and many giveaways. Dialysis patients can also receive free massages, t-shirts, haircuts and other fun gifts at the Champions Tent.
