The Woodbridge Pub is extremely nicely renovated. So much so, that I feared for the big glass windows that face Trumbull. I picture bullet holes, rocks or even a car crashing through them in the next five years. I hope I'm wrong. At least I could keep an eye on my car from the table due to the large windows.
I had dinner there on a Friday night. The service was a bit slow and shaky, but forgivable considering they haven't been open long.
The worst part was the noise. I couldn't hear the person across the tiny table from me unless I shouted. We had to repeat just about everything we said to each other. It was nearly unbearable.
The BBLT is amazing. The pizza was pretty good, too, good enough to take home the unfinished portion and eat later on. My favorite was the tiny (and cheap!) cucumber, tomato and mozzarella salad. Yum.
I'd probably hit this place up for lunch, but it's too noisy for a nice dinner for two.
