Molly Abraham: Indian fare, a rarity in downtown Detroit for years, may be found at this sliver of a restaurant, tucked into the Monroe Block. Both Northern and Southern Indian cuisine are served at a $7.95 lunchtime buffet that is drawing crowds. Those who prefer to order from the menu may do so at both lunch and dinner, and the restaurant has added three thali platters the Indian version of the combination plate. The long narrow room has been nicely redecorated into a much more appealing setting than when it opned in 2004. The staff is solicitous and anxious to please. Among the featured dishes are tandoori chicken, lamb vindaloo, among a number of lamb dishes, fresh breads from the tandoor, and many vegetarian dishes.\non the web at www.sizzlnspice.com
