"Chase Away Their Blues" benefit concert for Alternatives for Girls with Luther "Badman" Keith Blues Band

The Luther Badman Keith Band will perform at a Dec. 1 pre-holiday fundraiser for Alternatives for Girls, the southwest Detroit non-profit organization that takes homeless teen-age girls off the street and provides them with housing and educational opportunities.
The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Seldom Blues, one of Detroit’s premier nightspots and supper clubs at 400 Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit overlooking the Detroit River.
“I’m excited to do something to support this very worthwhile organization,” Keith said. “We want people to come out, hear some good music, eat some good food and help a great cause.”

Keith, a Detroit Music Award winning blues songwriter, will be performing songs from his forthcoming new CD which is a mixture of blues, funk, soul and rock and roll.
“High energy and fun, that’s what we are about,” Keith said. “You play the blues to lose the blues.”
