Molly Abraham: This is what the company calls a "suburban cafe," a slightly more elaborate version of the original Au Bon Pain which is completely self-serve and much more of a grab-and-go experience.. The cafe approach offers table service and an expanded menu that has, in addition to the breads, pastries and Danish Au Bon Pain is known for, such entrees as chicken pot pie, beef stew and thin-crusted individual pizzas. It's a sunny space with expanses of blue and taupe tile behind the open kitchen and both tables and booths in addition to an outdoor seating area. Service is emphasized.
