Molly Abraham, Detroit News Restaurant Critic: This downtown Birmingham spot, once epitome of the see- and-be-seen place for years, has come down to earth with a menu that emphasizes comfort food. especially its bar set a few feet above the curving dining room. The contemporary American menu, with such dishes as whole marinated chicken, served for two. The bar that overlooks the dining room is still a popular gathering place.
