Molly Abraham: Turkish food is a rarity locally, and this interesting spot not far from the North Campus of the University of Michigan is a good place to try it. Ayse (pronounced Eye-sheh)Uras is the chef/proprietor preparing and serving the interesting fare, from spicy lamb, beef or vegetable stews, meat-stuffed eggplant, and red peppers stuffed with a mixture of rice, ground beef, mint, dill and flat-leaf parsley to boreks (pastries filled with cheese, spinach or potatoes). Soups are notable, especially ezo, bulgur and lentil; yogurt, dill and cucumber; and lentil. A lovely and unusual little place in the Courtyard Shops with a distinctive menu.
