Multicultural literature for children has blossomed in the 21st century, yet books about many large groups of ethnic Americans still remain badly underrepresented. Dr. Most will discuss the beginnings of multicultural books for youth, influences on their development, awards for multicultural children's books and important issues and continuing needs for the future. Held in collaboration with the Special Collections Library, University of Michigan, and the November exhibit at the AADL.
